LinkLens Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LinkLens processes information when you use the iPhone or iPad app. Last updated: July 26, 2026.

When you share an http or https URL with LinkLens, the app retrieves and analyzes the linked page to create a summary. The URL, page title, site information, summary, and selected article content may be processed to provide the feature.

With Apple Intelligence, summarization is performed on your device. With Your own AI, the article content is sent to the OpenAI-compatible endpoint that you configure, according to that provider's terms. With LinkLens AI, the article content is sent through Firebase Cloud Functions to the cloud AI service used by LinkLens AI.

LinkLens does not intentionally send URLs, titles, or article text to Firebase Analytics. The full article is not saved by LinkLens; the app stores the summary and selected content needed for the saved-article experience. You can open the original article in Safari at any time.

Article metadata, summaries, selected content, favorites, and library information are stored locally in the app's data store. The share extension temporarily uses the app's shared container to pass a URL to the main app.

If you choose LinkLens AI, Sign in with Apple and Firebase Authentication are used to authenticate your account. Firebase stores account identifiers, credit balance, purchase verification records, usage reservations, and information needed to operate and protect the credit service. LinkLens AI does not use these records to store the full article text or URL as an analytics profile.

Credit purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and verified by the LinkLens server. You can sign out or request account deletion from the app. Account deletion removes the LinkLens account and associated service data as described by the deletion process.

Firebase Analytics may collect anonymous, non-content app usage and diagnostic events to improve LinkLens. Collection is enabled by default and can be disabled in the app's privacy settings. LinkLens does not send URLs, article titles, article bodies, API keys, or other article content in Analytics events.

If you send feedback, the selected category, feature, satisfaction level, and message are sent to Firebase Firestore. Please do not include personal information or article content in feedback.

Depending on the settings and features you use, LinkLens may interact with Apple services, Firebase, the LinkLens AI cloud service, your configured AI endpoint, and the App Store. Each service processes information under its own privacy policy and terms.
